A for Adjustment: an A to Z Challenge

"Every girl in our family bears these problem, why can't you do the same and adjust accordingly?" Those words keep ringing in her mind, though in vain. It takes her back to what exactly she was trying to adjust to?

"You're married now, you should sleep with your husband whenever he demands to." Said doting mother of her so-called husband.

"If you won't service me when I need you, you'll know what a Man can do to a woman." Loving words of her so-called husband.

"Don't worry about all this, I'll take care of everyone, you just do what I ask for and in return you'll  always be happy." Words of her loving father-in-law who spread his hand on her backless blouse clad body.

"Who do you think you are? Didn't you know that you became our property when you got married to my brother?" Reminder from her sweet little sister-in-law.

There was nothing wrong in her life, I mean there was no domestic violence, no dowry demands from her in-laws because come on, they already have a house full of 'Love' her father showered in her marriage.

So what was her problem? Her parents always wondered when she refused to go back to her in-laws.

She was taught that she is not an object, her father treated her like a princess and made her a woman she is today; strong, no-bullshit attitude, who cried when she is wrong but fought like a warrior when she is blamed unnecessarily! So when her father stood helpless in front of her, she felt like a loser because she cannot see tears in her Father's eyes but she knew she couldn't live there one more second and in the long run, what she has to do will hurt her Father more; she tried to kill herself.

There were things she cannot tell anyone about; she was ashamed, scared, bewildered of what all was happening. She didn't know what to do and how to approach this situation and then she found out the dates written in a diary; there were notes suggesting when she had her periods and when she had intercourse along with number of times on a particular day, when she visited her doctor and what all medicine she took.

Those parting words still makes her shiver, "Give me a child and no one will bother you again..." but she still don't have an answer to satiate her parents, this society and all those relatives who look at her like why can't you do that? Why can't you just ADJUST?

Women Harassment: I Should Get Used To It. NO?

So he says that I need to be strong and fight back, that you'll get these kind of people everywhere you go.

Hmm. The problem is, I was born in a family where girls are pampered, women are respected and protected; mind you am not talking about the physical protection, it's about the surrounding I was brought up in, where Men and Women are human.

So I find it difficult to live in a world where I find that not only Men, but Women also lack humanity. Am sorry that I broke down in that moment and wept, for I was not familiar like million other girls and women out there, who experience this exploitation, humiliation and harassment while traveling with no end.

Am sorry that I felt bad when that stranger tried to adjust his pants deliberately touching my ass and when I tried to move forward, another stranger was trying to adjust his earphones which according to him, was not possible without rubbing my breasts and pulling my shirt up while other co-travelers were enjoying the show and nobody thought this was wrong when I tried to fight back.

While this is the case in General Coaches, what might horrify people like me, who is new to this traveling is Women lack humanity like no other and Ladies Compartment is worst! These women I came across, dare them to offer a little space to a needy woman or a girl standing so long, but how can you ask such a question to them? They will always have health issue for which they need to take 2 seats where 4 people can sit (mind you, sometimes we can adjust 5 as well).

Oh! I promise to get strong, for I know these people won't ever change, for I know I am on my own and I need to take care of myself.

I promise that I will rise, NO! I will NOT get used to it!

Thank You So Much for the advice Respected Sir!

Black RainbowBlack Rainbow by J.J. McAvoy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

#RuthlessPeople was a hurricane for me, with those ruthless and bold characters, J.J.McAvoy is a wonderful author and a favourite of mine as well.

So, a few days back when I came to know about this #BlackRainbow, you cannot expect me to resist myself right?

#BlackRainbow was totally different from her criminal genre which J.J.McAvoy is soo good at, but this was a masterpiece in itself with #LeviBlack and #TheaCunning. It's a story about Truth, Love, Trust and Power, Power can make you stand out; Power can make you go dizzy with high that is so good and make people envious of you.

It's all about trust that you show on your loved ones, but trust; that comes only when that person has earned it and you have shown them that they are worth it. How Thea and Levi fights in a court is an art in itself. How they are a power couple can make you feel envious of their chemistry and intelligence. Their forbidden love, secrets that can destroy their surrounding, steam rising from their intimacy and how conversation between you and your loved one matters not only the intimacy will create hell in your love life after reading this because am sure you would crave all these that Levi and Thea has.

5 steamy and powerful stars for these two bombs!!!

Seeking A Bliss

Lust is what I thought chemistry is. A sizzling, invisible connection between two people, making you yearn for each other. I thought chemistry is what it takes for a relation to work, to give it a life.

That never getting enough feeling.
That temptation of being around each other...
Drowning all the sorrows, all those imperfections even just for a minute is a great relief.
You don't have to think about it, you don't have to take care of each other, you don't have to bother about future...

Yeah that's what lust is, making everything exciting and soul gripping in those moments of being together.
What comes after is the problem... A problem with no end, a problem with so many possibilities but not a single meaning to it.

You want to feel his presence, you want to get pampered, not merely through material things but with those emotions and feelings he brings in your life. A feeling of belonging to someone: not as a possession but as a treasure.

You want to spoil him with your stupid girliness because come on, being a boyfriend comes with those statutory warning 😜. You wanna fret around him with those silly "How Much Do You Love Me?" Questions. You want to take care of him, even though he is the one you depend on emotionally. He is the strong one in your relationship but you are the one holding it all together with your stupid tantrums everyday which never makes a day dull enough.

THIS is what I thought it would turn out to be...
THIS is what I was waiting for it to be...
But I was sadly mistaken between Lust and Love, Chemistry and Attraction.

You know what Bliss is???
When your Lust, Chemistry, Attraction, and Love is found in one person.
That is what makes it worth...
That is what make that breathtakingly insatiable hunger within you burn like a volcano.

Book Review of Eighteen By J.A.Huss

Eighteen (18)Eighteen by J.A. Huss
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A smart girl, a genius teacher: perfect recipe for a Taboo escapades!!!

But it is much more than that... J.A.Huss made the most boring Math and Trigonometry feel like an exciting subject through Eighteen!!!

I have read #Follow by her and it was not that interesting for me but Mateo and Shannon were Fantastic!

"Are you my problem, Mateo? Or my Answer?"

"I don't just want the solution, I need the process."

These are my favorite lines from this book. And I love how Shannon stands for herself while not giving a flying fuck about how she gets there but everything changes when Mateo forced her to learn how to earn those results and it makes much more sense.

Sadly, I would have loved to read further about Mateo and Shannon and don't forget Sunday!!!! The famous Daniel Alexander demands his own time and I think he deserves that.
